Congratulations, United Nations!

The organization 'Reporters sans frontières’ counts 29 killed journalists in the Philippines since 2002. Based on this data the Philippines is the second most dangerous place for journalists after Iraq.

Anything else to add?

Front page of Manila Bulletin (
19 May 2007) announcing that the Republic of the Philippines was reelected to the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Great post - I did not know that this was so serious in the Philippines. What a lovely country and what terrible politics....

I know, Raza Rumi. Many countries are lovely but are governed by irresponsibility and self interest. In many countries the sense for common goods (beyond the economic term) is lacking.
